Last week, the children in Year Two had lots of fun making sandwiches. First of all, we discussed the importance of health and safety and thought about how important it was to wash hands before we started. Next, the children decided on the type of bread they wanted to use – either baguettes, wraps or pitta breads. Then, they filled the bread with lots of different fillings. We discussed the bridge and claw grip when using a knife to keep ourselves safe when cooking. The children thoroughly enjoyed eating their sandwiches!
