Pupil Leaders

Our Pupil Leaders play a valuable part in the spiritual life of our school. Through leadership, service and example, they help to promote prayer, Religious Education and Gospel values across the whole school community.

Our Prayer Leaders and RE Ambassadors work together to support acts of worship, strengthen the spiritual ethos of the school and encourage others to live out our mission each day. They are positive role models who show enthusiasm, responsibility and a commitment to faith in action. The Prayer Leaders and RE ambassadors work with the Junior School Mini Vinnies and the Infant School Love in Action group.

Prayer Leaders

Prayer Leaders

The Prayer Leaders are made up of children from across the school and work closely with the RE Ambassadors. They are passionate about prayer and help to support and encourage prayer across all classes and age ranges.

What Prayer Leaders do
  • Pray for the needs of the class, Church and wider world.
  • Seek, collect and share praises and prayer requests.
  • Help to plan and communicate special times of class and individual prayer.
  • Work alongside teachers and classmates to strengthen the spiritual ethos of the school.
  • Support knowledge and confidence in saying traditional prayers with understanding and reverence.
  • Help provide encouragement and guidance related to prayer and personal worship.

RE Ambassadors

Our RE Ambassadors have an important role in school, using their initiative and ideas to
promote Religious Education both within school and in the wider community. They are role
models who live out Gospel values and show passion and enthusiasm for RE.

What RE Ambassadors do
  • Promote the importance of Religious Education in school and everyday life.
  • Share ideas with teachers to support initiatives across school and parish life.
  • Help to set up and lead Religious Education celebration displays.
  • Model how to care for school resources respectfully.
  • Support Prayer Leaders and Mini Vinnies.
  • Work with the RE lead to help prepare acts of worship and Masses, including selecting readings.
  • Help lead worship, promote Bible stories and Jesus’ teachings, and contribute to newsletters for parents and carers.

“Live Life to the full.”

John 10:10

Living Our Mission

Through prayer, worship, leadership and service, our Pupil Leaders make a real difference to the
life of our school. They help others to grow in faith, encourage participation in worship and
support our school community in living out Gospel values each day.
